You might be reading this page because you are curious about what is involved in becoming a Catholic, or because you firmly desire to join the Catholic Church. Either way, we wish to assure you that at no stage will the Catholic Church put you under any pressure to sign up and become a full member. In fact, you may find the process of becoming a Catholic somewhat slower than you would like… because membership
involves making a firm commitment to God and to the local
Catholic community, and is not to be undertaken lightly! Those wishing to become Catholic enter a systematic program that is known as OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation for Adults) to receive the Sacraments of Initiation: Baptism, Confirmation, and Holy Communion. Depending on one’s state in life and which Sacraments are needed, a participant is accompanied through different stages along the OCIA journey.
Child Faith Formation
Our goal is to assist the youth of our community in striving to attain a mature faith through celebration of the sacraments, worship, catechesis and service.
Classes for grades 1 through 11 are held Sunday mornings from 9:10 AM - 10:20 AM, beginning September 13, 2026. If you have not registered, you mus tcall the parish office at 830-931-2826 and ask for Beck to make an appointment to register.
Adult Faith Formation or OCIA
Adults interested in sacramental prepartion or becoming members of the Catholic Church are encouraged to sign up for Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA) classes by calling the parish office at 830-931-2826.
Weekly engaging classes are taught by an incredible group of faitful parishoners and take place on Tuesday evenings from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM at the Braden Keller Gym.
We welcome you to join us in learning more about the Catholic faith and receive the sacraments at our Easter Vigil Mass!
